Welcome to the weekend, my friends! As always, when October rolls around, I simply must quote my beloved Anne girl, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Our weather has been absolutely lovely this week and I’ve soaked it up whenever possible. As I write this, the sun is shining and there’s a chilly breeze outside.
ON THE BLOGS THIS WEEK: Cheesy, saucy, rich and hearty Sausage Stuffed Zucchini Boats are a favorite in my house. My FAVORITE THINGS this week are my dishwashing gloves. They have a cuff that helps prevent water from splashing and getting inside the gloves. I have the medium size and they’re the PERFECT not-too-tight, not-too-loose fit, super easy both to put on and take off. I’ve been using them for almost a year now and still love them as much as the day I first tried them.
What I’m WATCHING: Alita: Battle Angel. While it’s definitely not for everyone, if you enjoy post-apocalyptic dystopian sci-fi action movies it’s a fun watch. I watched this one with my son and we both really liked it. Written by James Cameron with talks of a sequel, my fingers are crossed now for another one.
What I’m READING: Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life by Tish Harrison Warren. I read her first book Prayer in the Night a couple of years ago and shared it with you here as well, but it bears mentioning again. I’ve shared it with countless people and gifted it many times as well. It’s simply excellent and this book has a great many solid takeaways as well. I recommend them both.
What I’m LISTENING to: Mercy’s War by Jon Foreman. My son sent me this song last week and I absolutely love it.
